One of the last real supermodels Gisele Bündchen has modelled for designers such as Dolce & Gabbana and walked the prestigious Victoria's Secret runway, where she sported the costliest fantasy bra - ‘Red Hot Fantasy Bra’, costing an estimated $15 million. Since then she has launched her own underwear brand, Gisele Bundchen Intimates.
2, Kate Upton
One of Sports Illustrated's most famous cover stars, Kate Upton was ranked fifth among the sexiest models according to the website Models.com. She has graced covers all over the world (in the 2014 swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated she was even photographed at Cape Canaveral in a zero-gravity chamber, because what's better that Kate Upton in a swimsuit? zero. gravity...) Praised by many for her natural figure Kate is certainly one of our favourite underwear models.
3, Eva Herzigova
Herzigová began her modeling career after winning a modeling beauty contest in Prague in 1989, at the age of sixteen. One of her first jobs was the now infamous "Hello Boys" Wonderbra campaign. The influential poster was featured in an exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum and it was voted in at number 10 in a "Poster of the Century" contest. In addition to being one of the most successful underwear models of all time she has graced catwalks all over the world for the likes of Armani and Versace.
4, Alessandra Ambrosio
Ambrosio is known for her work with underwear brand Victoria's Secret and was chosen as the first spokes model for the company's PINK line. Ambrosio is currently one of the Victoria's Secret Angels and has modeled for brands such as Armani and Ralph Lauren. As a Victoria's Secret Angel, she was chosen as one of People magazine's annual "100 Most Beautiful People in the World".
5, Jasmine Tookes
American Tookes is one of the hot new underwear models on the scene (Models.com named her as one of the top 10 new models), she has appeared in advertising campaigns for many international designers such as Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren and Dolce and Gabbana. In 2015, she became a Victoria's Secret Angel. She did gymnastics for ten years and was also active in volleyball and softball before she became a model at about the age of 15.
6, Irina Shayk
Shayk was the covermodel for the prestigious 2011 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. This was the fifth time she has been featured in the magazine, but the first time she has been on the cover. She was the first Russian ever to appear on the cover. Shayk currently ranks 14th in the "Top 20 Sexiest Models" list on Models.com and in the same year she was voted "Sexiest Woman In The World". Shayk has presented the Russian TV show Russia's Next Top Model and appeared in many advertising campaigns for designers such as Roberto Cavalli and Armani.
7, Miranda Kerr
Australian Kerr began modelling in the fashion industry when she was just 13, winning the 1997 Dolly magazine model search competition. She rose to prominence in 2007 as one of the Victoria's Secret Angels and has since become a face of the underwear brand. Previously better known for her Victoria's Secret status rather than her high fashion work, Balenciaga is credited for launching her high fashion modelling career when she was chosen to walk exclusively for the brand's spring 2010 runway. Kerr has also launched her own brand of organic skincare products, KORA Organics, and has written a self-help book.
8, Lara Stone
Dutch Lara was first discovered in the Paris Metro while on holiday with her family when she was 12 and took part in the Elite Model Look competition in 1999 when she was just 15. Although she did not win, she impressed Elite executives and was signed to the Elite Modelling Agency and began to model. Stone made fashion history in 2010 by signing an exclusive deal with Calvin Klein Inc., making the 26-year-old model the face of
Calvin Klein underwear, CK Calvin Klein and Calvin Klein Jeans in 2010. It marked the first time the fashion house has chosen to use one model for three of its brands.
9, Dita Von Teese
Dita Von Teese is an American burlesque dancer, underwear model, costume designer, entrepreneur and occasional actress. Von Teese is best known for her burlesque routines and is frequently dubbed the "Queen of Burlesque" in the press. She began performing burlesque in 1992, and, as a proponent of Neo-Burlesque, has helped to popularize its revival. In her own words, she "puts the tease back into striptease". Von Teese has been fond of wearing elaborate underwear such as corsets and basques with fully fashioned stockings ever since working in a lingerie store as a teenager. She is a trained costume designer, often designing her photo shoots herself.
10, Heidi Klum
Klum is a German underwear model, television personality, businesswoman, fashion designer, television producer, and occasional actress. She appeared on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and in 1999 became the first German model to become a Victoria's Secret Angel. In December 2004, Klum became the host, judge and executive producer of the reality show Project Runway. Despite being ranked second on Forbes' list of the "World's Top-Earning Models", some noted fashion designers have long been commenting on Klum's limited role as a fashion model. In 2009 Karl Lagerfeld agreed with German designer Wolfgang Joop, who called Klum after she had posed naked on the cover of the German edition of GQmagazine, "no runway model. She is simply too heavy and has too big a bust".
