Oiler & Boiler and managed to catch up with the brand's Sales & Marketing Manager, Juliette Bunce , and ask a few questions on the brand's AW13/14 collection and what the future is for
Oiler & Boiler underwear:
What is the inspiration behind Oiler & Boiler's collection for Autumn/Winter 2013? This year’s Oiler & Boiler Winter Vacation Collection is a salute to our hometown of Nantucket, USA. This AW13 our collection follows a stars and stripes theme which includes our signature pop colours.
What would you say are your key pieces for the season and why? This season we have gone for bold, summer colours that reflect the style of Oiler & Boiler. The key piece for this season is the Rockaway Long John which is available in True Blue and Rebel Red. They are perfect to keep you looking cool and feeling warm this winter.
What is your most popular shape and style of Oiler & Boiler men's underwear? Our most popular and unusual style of underwear is the Daytona woven boxer short. This vintage 50’s athletic style boxer short is a unique Oiler & Boiler design has been popular for us from the beginning. We love this style in our unique hand-drawn prints.
What would you say is Oiler and Boiler's unique selling point? Our collections always have something quirky and cool about them. Our beach shorts always have a retro feel and take inspiration from the 1950’s. All of our prints are hand-drawn and unique to Oiler & Boiler making us a breath of fresh air in the swimwear and underwear market.
Who do you see as your core customer? For us, defining our core customer is difficult as the Oiler & Boiler brand is growing substantially. We like to see our core customer as a fashion-conscious guy who enjoys hitting the beach. He likes to follow his own path and we aim to create pieces that compliment personal style.
In what ways are you looking to evolve the Oiler & Boiler brand? We are always looking to evolve and develop the brand. We love to take our inspiration from surfing culture and next summer we have created some really cool prints that we hope will be really popular because we love them!

Do you have any exciting advertising or PR campaigns in the pipeline you can tell us about? Our aim for our advertising is to start building the Oiler & Boiler brand. We already have a following but we want to make
Oiler & Boiler the name on everybody’s lips. We hope to do this by keeping our products affordable and great quality. We had a fantastic day on the beach in the summer ready for next’s year’s collection so keep your eyes peeled for that!
